Garbage and recycling bins smell, they attract
unwanted pests and they breed harmful bacteria.

Even though they have 1,000x more germs than the average toilet, most people rarely clean them. That’s where we come in. Winnipeg Bin Cleaning disinfects your waste and recycling containers on the spot with high-pressure wet steam. Don’t turn to toxic chemicals or an inefficient garden hose. Call Winnipeg Bin Cleaning and leave the dirty work to us.

PROTECT YOUR FAMILY

from salmonella, typhoid fever, food poisoning, air pollution, nitrous oxide, methane, enteric fever, gastroenteritis, infections, chronic diseases, skin and blood infections through infected wounds, intestinal infections transmitted by flies feeding on the waste, and other major illnesses.

REDUCE YOUR EXPOSURE

to leakage from hazardous household waste items such as cleaners, chemicals, batteries, computer equipment and leftover paints.

STOP POLLUTING OUR WATERS!

Make your garbage bins SAFE, FRESH, and HEALTHY!

How It Works

Winnipeg Bin Cleaning Process

Once your waste and recycling are picked up by the city, we come to your home with our state-of-the-art cleaning vehicle. Your bins are then placed in an enclosed unit and exposed to a 3,500 psi, 250 degree Fahrenheit cleaning. Then the waste water is reclaimed in our unit rather than dumped on your driveway or in your sewer. Once cleaned, both inside and out, an environmentally friendly, biodegradable CHERRY deodorizer is placed inside and your bins are placed back where we found them.

Steps of Cleaning Bins

"We used Winnipeg Bin Cleaning to clean our compost collection totes that were used at the Winnipeg Folk Festival. Their staff was friendly, courteous and prompt to our large request. As great as the service was, our bins were left clean and fresh as if they were brand new. We used some brand new totes at the Folk Festival, and after they were done being cleaned, we were unable to tell the difference between the new and used totes! Thanks again and we will be sure to employ your service again in the very near future!" - Paul Samborski

Green Cleaning

It’s a common misconception that you need harmful chemicals to clean and sterilize your bins.
At Winnipeg Bin Cleaning, we only use high pressure, 3,500 psi water,
heated to 250 degrees Fahrenheit. Dirt, grime and grease don’t stand a chance.
Neither does bacteria, which is killed at 225 degrees Fahrenheit.

If you’re ditching the chemicals and using a simple garden hose to clean your bins, you could still be hurting the environment. Not only will you be using 150x more water than our service, the contaminated liquid you’re dumping into streets and storm drains goes directly into our rivers and streams. Our state-of-the-art cleaning system keeps the water we use inside our unit, where it’s reclaimed through a seven-stage filtration system and never dumped in your driveway.
We pride ourselves on providing a toxin-free, environmentally friendly service and we know you’ll love the feeling of green cleaning as much as we do.  Have a peek at how bins look before and after receiving a chemical free Winnipeg Bin Cleaning treatment.

My garage smells fresh and clean. Thanks to my clean bins. I hope you are having great success with this new business.

Why should I have my bins cleaned?

We think there are many great reasons to have your bins cleaned in our high heat and high pressure mobile unit, here are just a few:

  • Dirty, smelly bins pose a health hazard to children, other family members as well as pets by creating the perfect environment for bacteria growth.  Some of the bacteria types that can be found in dirty bins include E-Coli, Listeria and Salmonella. These bacteria increase at an alarming rate with each passing day and can easily be transferred into your home and kitchen without you even knowing. Clean bins don't have bacteria.
  • Dirty, smelly bins attract animals and rodents such as mice, voles, rats, raccoons and skunks just to name a few. Clean bins don't.
  • Dirty, smelly bins attract insects such as wasps, flies, hornets and bees. Clean bins don't.
  • Dirty, smelly bins are a fantastic breeding ground for maggots. Clean bins aren't.
  • Dirty, smelly bins create foul odors that invade family spaces such as your yard and garage and can even spread into your home. Clean bins smell great.
  • Dirty, smelly bins make you sad. Clean, sparkling and deodorized bins make you happy !

How much does it cost?

Prices vary depending on how many bins you have and how often you’d like them cleaned. The more bins you have, and the more often you want them cleaned, the cheaper the cost per cleaning.

What if you aren’t able to clean my bins due to inclement weather, street closures or delays in pickup service?

You will never be charged for cleanings that do not take place, no matter the reason. Any missed cleaning will be credited forward for an additional month at the end of your contract. If you need the cleaning done sooner you can contact our office and we can make arrangements to be out the following week on your garbage/recycling collection day.

Will my bins get cleaned if my collection day falls on a holiday?

We follow the exact same schedule as your waste and recycling pickup. There are only three holidays when there is no collection: Remembrance Day, Christmas Day and New Years Day. In these cases, your cleaning day will be one day later, for that week only.

How do you recycle your water?

Our state-of-the-art cleaning system keeps the water we use at a temperature high enough to kill all bacteria. The water is then reclaimed and goes through a seven step filtration system.

Don’t you need detergents to get the bins really clean?

Due to the high temperature and pressure of the water, even the toughest dirt, grime and grease come off with ease. Through the use of high-pressure wet steam, your bins will be left cleaner than any detergent would be able to get them.

Can I request a different deodorizer scent?

Currently, we are only offering one deodorizer scent.

Does someone need to be home when Winnipeg Bin Cleaning arrives?

We clean your bins on the same day as your waste and recycling pickup. Just as you don’t need to be home when your bins are emptied, you don’t need to be home when we come by.

How do I register with Winnipeg Bin Cleaning to have my bins cleaned?

Simply call our office (204.594.2467) or click on the sign-up button above and use our handy form.

Are you a franchise?

Winnipeg Bin Cleaning is locally owned and operated  by a Manitoba family.

How long should I leave my bin(s) on my driveway?

Your bins will be cleaned sometime before 9 p.m. on your designated pickup day. In the unlikely event that your bin has not been cleaned by 9 p.m. For more information please read What if you aren’t able to clean my bins due to inclement weather, street closures or delays in pickup service?.

Do I have to commit for a full year?

Not at all! We offer year round service, a three month term, or you can choose a one-time cleaning.

Can I terminate my service at any time?

Absolutely! You may cancel your service at any time and we will cheerfully refund any outstanding cleanings that have not been performed minus a small cancellation fee.

Why is there a cancellation fee?

The primary purpose of the cancellation fee is to ensure that we are not taken advantage of by those looking for just a quick, one-time cleaning. The cancellation fee for each client is exactly the same amount and covers the initial costs involved in cleaning bins for the first time, which typically requires more time and resources than subsequent cleanings.

I only want my bins cleaned once. Am I able to do this?

Yes. Simply request a one-time cleaning.

Why are one-time bin cleanings more expensive?

One-time cleanings require individual scheduling and billing. They are also more intensive, and often, more time consuming than continued service cleanings.
"A huge thank you for the fantastic service you gave by cleaning our bins. What a difference it has made! We store our bins in our garage and we like the fact that they are sanitized and the cherry deodorizer leaves a pleasant scent." - L.E.
